Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunderbird

Hello.

I've followed that tutorial in order to get thunderird with lightning extension sync with google calendar :
http://bfish.xaedalus.net/?p=239

Right after installing the two needed extention (lightning and google provider), and restarted.
Then i try to create a new agenda, and to link it to my xml private url.
And in the final box, i give a name to my calendar, a color and when checking "next" but nothing happens.

Nothing is created and i can just Cancel or close the box, Next button doesn't do anything.

So i've tried to create a local (not network) calendar but i got the same issue.

My problem is like yours, but in 8.04. I upgraded in place. I installed libstdc++5 and it all works fine now.

Please dont assign yourself to a bug that you dont have any plans on fixing or helping triage.
Please remove lightning and any profile that lightning has and install the version in the repos (please dont build it yourself) than reinstall it and any depends you are missing (the depends issue is going to be fixed soon.) and let me know if this is still an issue. Please attach an strace if you can, I would like to see what it is doing and/or trying to due. Also make sure that google isnt the only calendar that is providing this issue to be seen.

Please test this with the unofficial 0.8 package we have for Hardy at this time at https://edge.launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive/
There isnt much change from upstream build and this one just a few patches got removed and some clean up that was applie upstream for most part. This package should be built in next 3+ hours.

Closing bug report due to lack of responce to my last question. This isnt really a sunbird/lightning issue but with 0.8 i havent seen it happen so i will say its fixed in 0.8 in Intrepid and should be in Hardy-backports when im done with it+bugs
