Bug Description

Binary package hint: samba

Samba is the only open source project with this weird behaviour.

The line in /lib/debug.c in Samba code

b[-1] = '\n'; */ /* replace last space with newline

should be commented out so I keep 1 event - 1 line.

You mean you don't want to modify this?
In that case, what are the reasons to keep the log events splitted into 2 lines instead of 1 like all the other logs of other programs?

Is this still an issue in focal or later? The line you mentioned as such is no longer present.
