Bug Description

I believe that USB Autosuspend is not enabled in the default Ubuntu Kernel.
My CPU (core-duo) is stuck at C2 until i enable USB Autosuspend via powertop.
Only then is it able to go to C3.

I've noticed this issue too, and after reading about it it's unclear whether powertop or Ubuntu is at fault here.

In any case, I'm marking this as a duplicate of 136549 because there is far more information there.

I'm aware of the other Bug-report and i doubt that its powertop's fault.
Like i said is my CPU stuck at C2 until i enable USB-Autosuspend with powertop.

If you run cat /sys/bus/usb/devices/*/power/autosuspend before using powertop it will give you
0
2
2
2
2
2

After using powertop it will change to
1
1
1
1
1
1

which seem to be the correct values for a working USB autosuspension.
