Bug Description
64bit Hardy with 32bit ubuntu desktop guests (dapper - hardy).
With a virtual machine running, the mouse and keyboard focus is mapped to the guest when the host's cursor hovers over the virt-manager window (focus-on-hover). Clicking into the guest does not grab the focus.
However, this behavior changes if you are in text mode, then (re)start gdm. In this case, you must click in this guest for it to receive keyboard and mouse events. This also makes virt-manager grab the focus, after which you must use Ctrl+Alt to release the grab so the host can receive mouse and keyboard events again.
Choosing focus-on-hover vs click-to-focus should also be user-configurable, especially considering that focus-on-hover doesn't work right yet anyway (see bug 193437).
