Bug Description

Binary package hint: wesnoth

Please allow Wesnoth 1.4 to go into Hardy.

We currently have wesnoth 1.2 (1.2.8), but we should update to 1.4 series as the servers for online game will be updated to 1.4. This release adds some new campaigns too.

I've been playing to it this evening and I have found no issues, it was really stable. Also, there have been 13 development releases (1.3.1 - 1.3.13), and 3 beta releases (1.3.14 - 1.3.16), and the last 1.3.18 is an RC.

Debian is already shipping 1.3.18 in unstable (they were following the 1.3 development series in experimental, and with 1.3.16 they have moved to unstable), so this will be a sync if approved.

Furthermore, I'm a bug contact for wesnoth (and have been for quite some time) and will keep track of its state, forwarding bugs upstream where appropriate, and triaging bugs.

Thanks

And this is the complete changelog since 1.3.1. I'm not uploading a diff since they have reformatted the chanelog to have lines not so long, so there is 4k+ lines in the diff which are just reformatting.

Note the very few changes done in 1.3.18. That's a note that the game is in a pretty good shape for the final release.

When do they plan to release 1.4?

Beginning of March, according to http://www.wesnoth.org/wiki/Wesnoth1.4ReleasePlan

So we will have more than one month before Hardy is released. That gives us
enough time in case wesnoth final is delayed a bit.
