Bug Description
Since it's inception, Firefox 3 has implemented a places drop-down list for the location bar. Though a nice idea, the implementation is aggravating for one simple reason: if I type in the location bar, my mouse may be hovering over the drop-down list and when I hit enter to go to what I put in, Firefox instead goes to the place highlighted by my mouse. Given that the places list can be quite large, there's a VERY good chance that this will happen and leads to NO END of annoyance, aggravation, and wasted time and bandwidth. A simple solution: highlight an element in the drop-down list ONLY if the mouse has moved. Please oh please push this suggestion upstream.

I am also experiencing this issue, and would greatly appreciate such a change. I am working on a laptop with a resolution of 1024x768, and the drop down list takes up nearly half my screen, making it very likely that my mouse is over part of the list.
