Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity-frontend-kde

This report is on the Alpha 5 install from the Desktop CD. If I try to use the main menu Install option, after going through the Kubuntu splash screen, X will try to start, but will crash with an DCOP authorization failure message. It fails on both the i386 and AMD64 disks, and either normal graphics or safe graphics. I am attaching copies of /var/log/syslog and /var/installer/dm.

This was fixed shortly after the Alpha 5 release. Could you please try a daily Live CD and re-open this report if the problem persists?
