Bug Description
Binary package hint: xfce4-panel
xubuntu daily-live 2-23 as install media, updated to 2-28.
When adding some xfce plugins to the panel, the text is very small. See example screenshot. Orage, network traffic and Places do not appear to have issues. Here are the applets I have tested which have this problem:
xfce4-cpu-
xfce4-weather-
Panel height is 22px. When adjusting the setting to a larger size, the small font size does get larger, however it is still quite small, and to achieve a similar size to Orage or other text on the panel, I must use a size like 40 or 50px.
Could this be related to #182743? Example: the above mentioned plugins are trying to get a DPI setting from X, but since the settings are hosed they display with odd sizes?
Thanks for your bug report.
That's not related to Bug #182743, only to the panel size and the plugin: if the panel size is lesser than 34px, the plugin will display a very very small text ("xx-small") ; otherwise, it'll display a very small text ("x-small"). And it doesn't change the text size if there is only the frequency or the governor displayed.
I'll try to provide a patch for this.
