Boot up! Don´t count down

Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-backports-modules-hardy-386

When starting the computer, Ubuntu counts down two seconds to let people get into Grub. The result is that everybody has to wait two seconds every time.

Instead of doing this, I propose that Ubuntu should directly start booting up and present the text:

"To get into boot menu, please press ESC at startup". Show this text for 10 seconds.

After 100 startups, I think 99.9% of the users will get the point. Problems or start another OS, press ESC.

One year has about 350.000 seconds. So with millions of users, it takes a couple of days to fill up one whole life with bootup countdowns.

This would actually constitute a regression by delaying the boot process further.
