Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:

1. Boot the Lubuntu Lunar Final ISOs.
2. Launch Calamares, and set the language to "Spanish (Mexico)".
3. Proceed through the rest of the installation with the UI in Spanish.
4. When the installation begins, watch the status indicator text.
5. Observe the line of text that reads "Instalando6 paquetes".

Expected result: The line of text *should* read "Instalando 6 paquetes".

Actual result: There's a missing space between the "o" of "Instalando" and the 6.

To correct this issue, the python.po within the calamares-3.3.0-alpha2/lang/python/es_MX/LC_MESSAGES/ folder needed to have a space added on lines 314, 315 to address this issue. Additionally, another issue of the same style was found a few lines down at lines 322 and 323 (specifically they say "Removiendo #paquetes").

Both have been submitted to Debian on 9/1/23.

Joseph,

Thanks for sending this patch along. I'd like to encourage you to help with translation.

Unfortunately doing it downstream in Ubuntu (or even Debian) is not the best way to do so. Upstream has their own system for contributing translations.

Indeed, they've already fixed this particular issue in this commit, which will likely trickle down to us in the next version:
https://github.com/calamares/calamares/commit/5f55f14f9dca7b15d9f11f13c39ad6a3f457045c

You can find more information on translations and contribute translations of your own through Calamares' Transifex system:
https://explore.transifex.com/calamares/calamares/
Note es_MX is only 50 some percent translated, so they could definitely use some help.

If you happen to be a Lubuntu user, you might also like to contribute translations to LXQt. They do this through Weblate:
https://translate.lxqt-project.org/

I hope that helps!

I'm going to assign this to our localization lead so he can follow up on whether this is still an issue.
