Bug Description

I have an MacBook Pro with an internal webcam. The webcam works with cheese, but fails using other webcam apps (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-meta/+bug/205486 ). In cheese theres a wrong x-y ratio like you might see with following pictures:
http://files.ernestoruge.de/images/bild1.jpg
http://files.ernestoruge.de/images/bild2.jpg

It's the same box shown in both pictures, but obviously in the first picture the box seems much more quadratic.

This happens with an fresh install of Hardy Beta1 full updated. Attaches there are some files you might need for debugging it.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

However, I checked those two images and it seemed to me like they are very similar. It could be a problem that your resolution doesn't fit the screen ratio. Can you please tell us what screen resolution you're using?

Thanks in advance,

I'll look at this images in MacOS-X if the problem still exists there.

Ernseto told me that the images look good in OS X.

Ernesto, can you please test if that problem appears in all image viewers?
