Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver

skyrocket screensaver shows odd problems. I'm running an Intel GMA. No errors reported, but see screenshots. Advice welcome on how to proceed in offering debug data if necessary.

Is it only this screensaver that's giving you issues? Does Compiz/graphical effects work on your computer? Thanks for reporting this bug!

Compiz works without issue. I'm using the xorg-xserver-intel drivers. The only other screensaver that acts strangely for me is Atunnel where an odd clipping effect occurs. See the attached screenshot.

Also, I noticed a light rendering error on your screenshot. See how there's a band through the middle where the reflection/glare of the light abruptly stops?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Thanks in advance.

I checked it out and it's no longer a problem. I'm using Hardy latest version and I'm completely up to date.
