Bug Description

Package request for PwdHash - Web password hashing add-on for Firefox

This extension automatically generates per-site passwords if you prefix your password with @@ or press F2 beforehand. Prevents JavaScript from reading your password as it is typed. The same password will be generated at each subdomain: a.example.com matches b.example.com, a.example.co.uk matches b.example.co.uk, but a.co.uk and b.co.uk are different. Hashed passwords can also be generated at https://www.pwdhash.com/

URL: http://crypto.stanford.edu/PwdHash/
License: BSD

I have created a package for hardy. You can find it in my ppa: https://launchpad.net/~bdrung/+archive

Emilo,
Have you looked at the package by chance? I also suggest following the https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Firefox3Extensions
also better to get an ack from the extension team just incase the user can no longer maintain the package. At least please add the info to the above link so we have a way to track extensions. You can set yourself as maintainer but it would be great if we could track this.

Please contact upstream about the license we are excepting BSD (2- and 3- clause) and it seems as if its not one of those. can we please get a confirm, I will in the meantime talk to our head dev and see if we can use plain bsd and if not why.

can you please pastebin the license that you have for it so we can go over it. This is assuming you are building it but we need to know what clause is in the bsd license

is there a license.txt file in the top level of the source/xpi?

Not yet. The upstream author will add a license file to the source package. Then I will update the package.

A new upstream version (1.6) is released. Now the upstream source package contains a LICENSE file. You can find the package in REVU: http://revu.ubuntuwire.com/details.py?package=stanford-pwdhash and soon in my PPA.

Thanks for the update.

We want to do this

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Extensions/LargeScaleMaintenance

and want to automate the process of update because of this. For this
we require your package to be in bzr based on a .upstream
branch. If you could do that it would ease things a lot.

Could you do that?

Thank you very much,

Benjamin, Have you updated to newest release and pushed to a bzr branch?
Revu isnt the best place to put it, I suggest joining #ubuntu-mozillateam and ask if one of the team members can check and upload it.
