Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

the window switcher alt+tab doesn't display the window titles half the time. some times it shows them, sometimes is like on the attached screenshot. I'm using Hardy AMD64 with all updates as of today.Video is nvidia geforce 4 go.Compiz version 0.7.4-0ubuntu5. When this happens, if I do a show desktop(ctrl+alt+D) and then do alt+tab it starts displaying the window titles correctly.

Here is another screenshot. This time the box that displays the titles is showing but it's smaller than the list of windows. It may be something related.

Thanks for your report, is this still an issue? May you test the same with another new user created on your system?

For my current user it still has some problems. When there's only one window and I alt+tab the first time it appears normal, but the second time i hit alt+tab it screws things up. See the attached screenshot.
I tried it from a newly created user and i couldn't reproduce the problem.

I have the same problem. Sometimes, the switcher will not show window titles. Also, sometimes the switcher will expand to show five thumbnails, especially when a second monitor is attached to my laptop, and the switcher panel border does not expand to cover all five thumbnails.

We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
