Bug Description

I am using Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10, all updated.
We have at work a wireless AP wich secret has only 7 caracters.

When I try to connect to it, nm_applet asks for its password, but the button to connect is disabled. It is enabled only when the password entered has 8 digits.

So, I cannot connect to it.

The versions I Have:

ii network-manager 0.6.5-0ubuntu16.7.10.0
ii network-manager-gnome 0.6.5-0ubuntu11~7.10.0

WPA is limited by nature to 8 character passwords. This is not the right kind of encryption if the password is 7 characters.

Changed in network-manager-applet:
status: New → Invalid
