This will be in Hardy+1 and that will be a while since i will need a fairly stable toolchain maybe after it gets in Hardy+1 repos ill back port it to Hardy

Please test this with the unofficial 0.8 package we have for Hardy at this time at https://edge.launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive/
There isnt much change from upstream build and this one just a few patches got removed and some clean up that was applie upstream for most part. This package should be built in next 3+ hours.

Now that intrepid repos opened for development i will try to builds it for intrepid once that is done we will talk about backporting it

Im already working on this Intrepid has landed but there are some fixes i would like to push there as well once im done.

I have run into time issues and will get to it ASAP but for now the packages in my PPA are fine to use.

I have the package in my PPA for Hardy found at https://edge.launchpad.net/~gnomefreak/+archive
0.8 is already in Intrepid, Please test on all archs please i can only test 386 and it works here on my hardy system, i have been testing it since final release from Mozilla upstream package as well as our package on Hardy.

Confirmed that it builds properly, but package does has several lintian warnings. Marking confirmed. Tested version: lightning-sunbird_0.8+nobinonly-0ubuntu1.dsc
