Bug Description

Binary package hint: casper

Installing OpenGEU from LiveCD Instance running in VMWare workstation on Ubuntu Heron, got a "Installer crashed" dialog box with the following details:
------------------------
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity", line 212, in<module> main()
  File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity",line 207, in main install(args[0])
  File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/bin/ubiquity",line 65, in install ret = wizard.run()
  File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/gtk_ui.py", line 425, in run self.progress_loop()
  File "/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/gtk_ui.py", line 776, in progress_loop (ret, realtb))
RuntimeError: Install failed with exit code 1
Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "/usr/share/ubiquity/install.py", line 1768, in <module> install.run()
    File "/usr/share/ubiquity/install.py", line 318, in run self.copy_all()
    File "/usr/share/ubiquity/install.py", line 511 in copy_all shutil.copyfileobj(sourcefh, targetfh)
    File "shutil.py", line 24, in copyfileobj fdst.write(buf)
IOError: [Errno 28] No space left on device
-------------------------

Now that I've typed all of that, the last line is probably the key--I'd tried the VM with only 2Gb of space allocated, evidently not enough. A more helpful error message or a available space check at the start of the install routine could be useful.
