Bug Description

I'm using latest breezy, I tried to update x-common today but I can't because of
xfonts-base.

E: /var/cache/apt/archives/x-common_1.08_all.deb: can't replace
« /usr/lib/X11/fonts », owned by xfonts-base (translated into english)

Having same problem:

dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/x-common_1.08_all.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/lib/X11/fonts', which is also in package xfonts-base

same here:
E: /var/cache/apt/archives/x-common_1.08_all.deb: intentando sobreescribir
`/usr/lib/X11/fonts', que está también en el paquete xfonts-base

(We don't need further "me too" comments on this bug, thanks; it's clear that
the package has a problem.)

This is due to a bug in dpkg as discussed on #ubuntu-devel.

I think this is fixed in dpkg 1.13.10ubuntu4.

The new dpkg resolved the problem and x-common installed w/out a hitch. BTW,
thank you guys for all your hard work and this wonderful project.

Do we need to add a pre-dependency to one of these packages to ensure that dpkg
is upgraded first? If so, please do.
