Bug Description

This is a petty bug.

I've had multiple users ignore kvm as a virtualization platform as they thought it was only x86 hardware (32bit). The majority of this seems to be down to the control file description of
"Full virtualization on x86 hardware" being displayed in the package manager interface.

I'd like to see this updated to advertise x86 and x86_64 virtualization.

This bug was fixed in the package kvm - 1:72+dfsg-1ubuntu3

---------------
kvm (1:72+dfsg-1ubuntu3) intrepid; urgency=low

  * debian/control: Trivial update to description, to note that KVM works on
    both x86 and x86_64 hardware (LP: #225260).

This was fixed in Intrepid, as well as in the kvm-84 package in hardy-backports. If this issue is still critical for you, I suggest you try upgrading to that package.
