Compiz fusion crashes windows

Bug Description

In Ubuntu 8.04 I installed the restricted drivers for ATI and "Compiz fusion icon" to manage the effects.

When I switch window manager from Metacity to Compiz my windows became "not clickable"... I can't use them anymore, I see the effects like woopy windows etc., but I can't use the menus or anything inside windows.

When I open a new windows, the inside is not even showed..

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you please add your ~/.xsession-errors, /var/log/Xorg.0.log and the output of lspci -vvnn to your bug report as separate attachments? Thanks in advance.

I updated compiz with one script but the problem is almost the same... it's a little better now, I can use some things inside windows but it's still not workable...

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 9.04? Thanks in advance.
