Binary package hint: openoffice.org

The Window menu is missing on Word Processor and Spreadsheet - i.e. minimize, maximize, close and title bar. It doesn't appear to affect any other programs. Open Officer version 2.4, Ubuntu version 8.04

Thank you for taking your time to file this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Can you please tell us the desktop environment that you are using , so that we can resolve this bug.

By the way, this problem seems to surface on KDE desktops with certain themes as mentioned in upstream bug # http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=13346.

i'm experiencing a similar problem, although only with open office word processor. to make the window buttons, i change the view to full screen and revert back to non-full screen, but even that does not work all the time. i'm using gnome desktop. i did not have this problem until today and i've been using ubuntu for about 2 weeks now. \
