Bug Description
Binary package hint: libxine1
[hardy] dvd devices are not correctly configured in xine (affecting DVD-playback in Kaffeine)
In Kaffeine under settings for the xine-engine under "media". There is a setting "dvd.device". This is set by default to /dev/dvd, but there is no /dev/dvd (anymore), but instead the dvd-player is using /dev/scd0. So xine should somehow know how to find right device or /dev/dvd should be created as a symlink for backwards-
This has been tested in a fresh installed Hardy (with all updates applied) and already installed system upgrade from Feisty, via Gutsy to Hardy (with all updates applied).
This is very important, because a lot of users can't play dvd's out of the box. This also falsely triggers the libdvdcss dialog, even if libdvdcss is already installed.
