Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

After starting 'update-manager' under a system with compiz:

If expanded (dropped down) 'update-manager' window is 'flung' (moved, and released under velocity) then the window will disappear from the desktop and taskbar. The installation appears to continue in the background just fine, and after a while a dpkg question (SSL message) popped up as normal.

The 'update-manager' was performing an update to 8.04LTS at the moment in question.

Ideally 'update-manager' (or more likely, the compositing window-manager) should not allow a window to 'vanish' when it is flung off the screen.
