Bug Description

the IBM thinkpad and Sony vaio modules are installed by default in the "Laptops
&Power" section. Because not every computer in the world is a sony vaio or a ibm
thinkpad, it may be a little overkill to install by default these useless apps.

It would be nice if they were left as an option instead of being mandatory.

I second this motion. I believe it's possible to detect whether we're running on such a machine and display these items or not accordingly.

Does that mean that the little system tray application which displays the battery level and the current power governor will be taken out of 6.10?
