KDE4 - Task manager widget needs refinement

Bug Description

The task manager widget should:

a) detect when it's against the right hand side of the screen, vertically aligned, and pop up mouseovers towards the left (rather than to the right and off the screen)
b) give the option to pop up above other windows when the mouse touches the [right|left|top|bottom] etc. Not very useful as a task manager if you have to minimize to get to it

3.3 according to dpkg, although I realize that doesn't correspond to a KDE version

Eh, this is sorta what panels are for...
Anyway, you can bring widgets to the front by pressing crtl + F12.

True, but (see other bug) the panel doesn't work (the way I'd like it to / properly) with xinerama, so I was attempting to reproduce with widgets.

Is there a way to arbitrarily add panels anywhere? I didn't see that option. But I do think smartening up popups (on all widgets) so that they don't go offscreen (if possible) is worthwhile.

4.1 allows you to add panels anywhere. Right click on desktop -> Add panel.
Taskbar tooltips are actually broken in beta2, (They don't show up at all.) but I haven't noticed any other widgets' popups misbehaving.

Please test with 4.1 beta2 and/or nightly packages from project neon to see if all your problems are fixed now. As Jonathan mentioned, some of them definitely are.
