I can only duplicate this bug when I have used the ``powertop'' application to disable HAL's polling of the CD drive and then change a CD. So, steps for me to duplicate:

1) insert CD into CD-ROM drive.
2) run ``sudo powertop''
3) after a while, at least on my laptop which is an HP Pavilion DV2815NR, powertop tells you to not let HAL poll the CD-ROM drive.
4) then eject the CD-ROM and re-insert it.
5) the open Rhythmbox. That's when this crash happens for me.

new upstrea comment:

"Would be useful to know which of the strings in append_mount is NULL.
If it is the uuid, I've just fixed this."

could anybody who has the issue get this information? do everybody there use powertop to break things too?

Just got hit by it. I do not use powertop, and cannot really state what was going on at the time (but I was not mounting or unmounting anything).

My gvfs is at 0.99.5-0ubuntu1.

Sorry, the attached crash reports are both from a previous installation, since I had to reinstall from 8.10 alfa 3 to 2.6.27-2, due to a fatal system crash. So plz take caution with interpreting the version data below. I did run the updat procedure in the exact same way though.
