Hi ecsdrive,

Can you comment if this existed with the 2.6.26 kernel previously available with Intrepid? Thanks.

Hi,

Unfortunately I can't tell you, I just upgrade from Hardy - there these messages weren't present

Same problem here. Actually, unless I use the kill switch to switch off the wlan, the boot hangs for a couple of minutes with 'Configuring network devices', and then comes up without working wlan anyway.

The only way to get wlan working is by 'rmmod iwlagn; modprobe iwlagn' after the machine has booted (and after switching on wlan again).

For the record, I have on the same box (a) 32bit 8.10, upgraded from 8.04, and (b) 64bit 8.10, fresh install. The 64bit fresh install works fine, no problem with the wlan.

Care to try installing the linux-backports-modules-intrepid package and let us know if it helps? It contains an updated compat-wireless stack. Thanks.
