Since it happened overnight when the machine was unattended, not at will.
We'll see if it happens again.

On my machine it crashed just after restarting, I guess kmail is the culprit. I just downloaded my disconnected imap account, when it crashed. It then showed additional mail in the inbox, empty ones, no from, no subject.

Is anyone still experiencing this with KDE4.1.4?
If so does it happen reproducibly?

If the answer to both of those is yes please install the package kdepim-dbg and induce the crash. We need to get a backtrace that isn't full of 'no debugging symbols' to find out what is causing this.
