intrepid daily livecd 20081001 hangs in grub on amilo XI2428 after hitting return

Bug Description

Binary package hint: grub

Trying to start the current daily intrepid livecd does not work in amilo XI2428 -
after hitting return the machine freezes with the grub screen remaining.

Happens when trying to install and run the liveCD independent of the graphics mode chosen.

Trying to run memtest yields the same behaviour. Starting from first hard drive works correctly.

LiveCD hast the correct md5-checksum.

grub is not the bootloader used on the CDs. Reassigning to syslinux.

Seems to have been a problem with my local liveCD-iso -
burnt a new one on a different disc, that seems work.
