Bug Description

I was installing intrepid from the desktop install cd onto my friend's hp dv 2000 pavilion laptop, and had just passed the screen for manually partitioning the hard drive and gotten to the username/password setting screen. We wanted to go back and look at the manual settings we put into the partitioner, so we clicked "Back", and discovered that the partitions we had just set up were gone, and that we had to set them again.

It seems to me that the partitioner should remember these settings - why shouldn't the user be able to return to this later and slightly modify them without having to redo the whole thing?

I may have selected the wrong package for this bug.

Confirmed. I think there should either be a warning that going back to this screen will forget the previous settings, or it should just remember them.

This is finally fixed. When you go back from the second partitioning page (if one is required), then your previously selected radio button should still be ticked. Proceeding past partitioning and then going back is no longer possible as installation starts from that point.
