evolution cannot authenticate with imap server

ok, i just installed ibex, made all updates and tried to configure my emailsettings.

now, as i want to connect to my imap-box, evolution is asking me about my password. after entering the correct one, evoltion connects to the imap server and my folderlist shows up. then evolution asks once again for my password. entering it, it throws the errormessage "Plaintext authentication disallowed on non secure connections".

Now, my settings arent configured for plaintext, in fact im using cram-md5. it seems that evolution seems to loose the login method settings somehow.

i tried all the stuff with thunderbird. no error there. in fact the seems to be a problem by evolution itself.

btw: changing the ima settings in evolution afterwards, evolution crashes, with following line:

(evolution:23327): e-data-server-CRITICAL **: e_account_set_string: assertion `ea != NULL' failed
