Confirming, on trunk.

When I switched "Look in:" of "Collected Addresses" and back to "Personal Address book" on Select Addresses window - Contacts are displayed.

Yes, that works and I noted that the names are jumbled and not in alphabetical order.

Thanks lenochod.

I am also experiencing this problem...can get the addresses by selecting "Collected Addresses" then back to "Personal Address book"

I mentioned this on the moz.support.seamonkey newsgroup and got a response from Hartmut Figge (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081227
Mnenhy/0.7.5.20005.h1 SeaMonkey/2.0a3pre) so it would seem this is not just a Windows problem.

I don`t think I understand this bug report.
You have have Personal adresses and Collected adresses.

Also you can choose in Edit>Preferences>Mail&Newsgroups>Adressing ,
wheither collected adresses should be put in Collected Addresses or in Personal addresses.

When you click on +Adresss it opens Personal Adress book by default.
If there is no addresses in Personal adress book, there will be no addresses displayed.

Do you think there should be default to open collected adresses instead of personal adresses?
What for?
There is reason why Different views are there. I would like to separate collected addresses
from any mail I recieved from my Address book, like it is now.

Now I see that bug report is about seamonkey 2, development version.
Please make sure to mention what version you file bug against, next time.

1.1.14 has this problem also. when you open SM email and click on uploading screenshots.
This bug is mainly for me to track upstream bug. I am pretty much working on Seamoney again as well as other Mozilla relate apps.

We really shouldn't track PPA versions or upstream versions installed in
Ubuntu as an ubuntu bug since they are not released to archives. I'm
closing this part of the bug, Can you please track this bug using
upstreams tracker. You can set your email settings to send you emails on
comments to the bug report.

This problem has carried over to 2.0b1, and is a little more difficult for me to get my addresses to show. I have to click back and forth several times to get the addresses to appear. Needless to say this is a real problem for people like me who use e-mail a lot.

I hope this is going to get someone's attention soon. In case it matters, I upgraded from 1.1.14.

As this is address book, Standard8 might be a quicker review.

John, all I see under about is 2.0pre so that is no help to you. It would be yesterday morning's version.

The addresses are still there and I could have sworn that the names were in alphabetical order yesterday. They are not today.

They are in alphabetical order in Address Book.

It no longer matters since you are using upstream 2.0
but the following is a command that you would type in a
terminal/console
apt-cache policy seamonkey-2.0

it will give output as to versions and repos that it is in.
