and the program does not start.

I have the same problem.
I'm not sure if this happened with avahi's update or kdebase's update.
The applet works fine but it doesn't lunck ksysguard!

I confirm this bug. I remember libavahi being removed due to no longer being a dependency, but I don't know if it's the library ksysguard needs.

Root cause is in kdelibs4c2a package that provides this shared library (libkdnssd.so) - this package should depend on avahi libraries as it clearly has references to it:

$ objdump -T /usr/lib/libkdnssd.so.1.0.0 | grep avahi_client_new
00000000 D *UND* 00000000 avahi_client_new

Indeed, I'm curious as to why shlibs doesn't pick this up, odd.. can someone try rebuilding kdelibs and see if it happens again? I would but im having issues with gcc on my machine (amd64) crashing atm.

Since the last updates ksysguard no longer crashes; though it still spits out the same error messages.
