This bug was fixed in the package ibus - 0.1.1.20081023-0ubuntu5

---------------
ibus (0.1.1.20081023-0ubuntu5) jaunty; urgency=low

  * debian/control: Add depends on python-gconf as ibus needs this to run
    correctly. (LP: #358770)
