Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

The search capability in Evince is somewhat limited. It only does case-insensitive search, and does not use regexps. Adding options for either case-sensitive search or regexp search would add to the utility of this application.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10
ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/evince
Package: evince 2.24.1-0ubuntu1
ProcEnviron:
 PATH=/home/username/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games
 LANG=en_US.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: evince
Uname: Linux 2.6.27-11-generic i686

"I've implemented the whole words only options, and pushed a slightly modified
version of the patch with only case-sensitive, backwards and whole-words-only
options. "
