Bug Description
steps to reproduce:
add the weather-applet to the panel.
display will be: "?--"
tooltip on hover will be: "Updating..."
Hitting "update" from context menu does nothing.
Hitting "details" from context menu shows that my city is: "DEFAULT_LOCATION"
It appears that is not updating at all. It's just like that default until you go to preferences and set your location.
I am suggesting two possible fixes. Perhaps the easy way to approach it would be to implement (A) until (B) can be implemented.
POSSIBLE FIXES:
(A) When the weather applet is added to the panel, the preferences dialog automatically comes up with the Location tab selected.
(B) Use the information on location obtained from the installer to set the location. This is existing bug: 9015
Now that I think about it, (A) might be better due to the likelihood of finer detail in location info in weather applet vs timezone?
