Bug Description

Binary package hint: debian-installer

Receiving the following error when attempting to partition a disk on the latest Hardy SRU image:

The attempt to mount a file system with type ext3 in SCSI1 (2,0,0),
partition #1 (sda) at / failed.

You may resume partitioning from the partitioning menu.

Do you want to resume partitioning?

After discussion on IRC this appears to be due to a failed RAID drive on the relevant enablement machine. Ronald says he's seen some other 8.04.3 failures and will follow up separately on those.

Reopening - this seems to be a problem with ext3-modules not being available.

This turned out to be due to out-of-date seeds that pulled 2.6.24-23 kernel udebs onto the CDs. I've fixed this and respun server CD images:

Sorry about this - the seed change had been in my working tree for literally months and I hadn't noticed!
