Bug Description

Binary package hint: debian-installer

I downloaded the current daily AMD64 CD image (2009-07-22) and wrote it to a USB flash drive using UNetbootin. Upon booting it on the target machine, I got as far as the "Detect and mount CD-ROM" stage, to which it wouldn't let me go any further as it couldn't find the CD.

I had a similar problem with the i386 alternate CD image for 2009-07-24

It could not detect the USB stick was the installation medium and tried to search for the CD

I mounted the USB stick on /cdrom during the install but had the same problem.
