Bug Description

Some programs using kdesu that are started through the k-menu won't launch the first time they are selected.
Sometimes a program will not start on first try for me. Noticeably affected are the programs adept (both versions) and the language selector - therefor I assume that it only affects programs that are launched with kdesu.

When I start those for the first time there will be the bouncing cursor and taskbar notification, as if it was launching. But nothing will happen. After 30s those will vanish and the program won't come up.
I have to select it a second time from the k-menu and then it will come up rather fast - 2 - 3 seconds and the programs will at least show initial activity and finally come up.
I did not encounter this error with konsole for example, which I use a lot through k-menu - but that is not using kdesu.

I can confirm this also. It does this in adept, and also at times in synaptic.

Confirm this as well, just run it again and it will come up.

This is still present in Dapper
This bug is the same than this:
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/meta-kde/+bug/27075

And the problem is easy to see where it comes from:

It has something to do with the sudo timestamp, because I have to type sudo -k in order to be able to get kdesu usable again... well or wait some time in order to get sudo asking for a password again.

Still get the problem on Dapper with latest updates and KDE 3.5.3.
It happens when I run "Install (as root)" in KDevelop build menu.

I have just updated my Dapper to KDE 3.5.5 wich is announced to support sudo in kdesu.
Kde su does not hang anymore, but it asks for password everytime (it does not keep sudo time)

This has been happening for as long as I can remember. If I try to run Adept in either Feisty or Gutsy, I typically have to try to run it twice before the kdesu dialog comes up. I've never had such problems with gksudo.
