Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.31-5-imx51

On a V1 babbage, ethernet is not functional with linux-image-2.6.31-5-imx51. Works fine when I go back to 2.6.28-15-imx51. In both cases redboot sees ethernet (with 00:00:00:00:00:00 hwaddr, which I think is a known hardware issue)

I'd post the diffs between the two configs, but the diffs are quite large.

if you set a MAC address from the redboot fconfig setup, does it start working ?

Nope, same problem even with a mac address set via fconfig -- I see "FEC ENET Version 0.x" (forget what the # was), but no "fec: PHY @ .... eth0: ethernet ..." like I do with the older kernel.

hey vladimir, can you please test with the recent kernel, linux-image-2.6.31-100-imx51 (or something above, i heard -101-imx51 is in the works)

For now, I am only going to concentrate on B2.x boards. Since ethernet doesn't work on B2 boards as well, lets fix that first before getting back to B1.
