Bug Description

Information of package 'peercast-handlers' says it installs handlers for common browser like Firefox & Epiphany.

Unfortunatelly, this is not true, at least in my case. Both Firefox & Epiphany complained, that they don't know what to do with 'peercast' protocol, because this protocol isn't associated with any program.

Is this reproducible in 8.10 alpha?

For Firefox it's got somehow fixed, i.e. Firefox knows what program handles 'peercast:' protocol.

For Epiphany browser it doesn't work right of the box, i.e. it asks for a program to handle 'peercast:' protocol.

I'm not sure if this answers your question.

It appears to be working without any additional steps for Firefox. For Epiphany, it requires locating the peercast application.

Marking as fix released.
