 Conflicts found! Please edit `/etc/samba/smb.conf' and sort them out manually.
 The file `/etc/samba/smb.conf.ucf-new' has a record of the failed merge of the configuration file.
dpkg: error processing samba-common (--configure):
 subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 3
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of smbclient:
 smbclient depends on samba-common (= 2:3.2.3-1ubuntu3.5); however:
  Package samba-common is not configured yet.

Have you corrected the errors in your /etc/samba/smb.conf file?
