this bug occurred at the first install attempt, while the others eclipses package were installed. The second time it was the only package left to install, and everything worked as expected.
My suggestion to the maintainer would be to test the eclipse install from a system without eclipse, or with previous (jaunty) version of eclipse installed.

I installed Eclipse OK (sort of, Eclipse installed but not the CDK)

Then I did an update and this lib failed to install as described above (but lots of other things upgraded OK)

I run the upgrade again and it worked OK

After reading ValiSystem's comment I tried a re-install and, sure enough, it was successful the second time.
