Bug Description
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
I have a fresh install of dapper rc.
When I try to play a song in rhytmbox (i have tried both ogg and mp3) it never starts playing, and if I change song it hard freezes. I have an almost empty music library (I only added one album) so that shouldn't be the problem.
Output from rhytmbox -d when clicking on the first song (which is an ogg-file):
[0x8123890] [info_available_cb] rb-shell-
[0x8123890] [info_available_cb] rb-shell-
[0x8123890] [info_available_cb] rb-shell-
[0x8123890] [info_available_cb] rb-shell-
after that some "saving the playlists" messages are printed so it hasn't hung yet. When changing song it just says:
[0x8123890] [rb_shell_
And then freezes. Clicking on the "x" gives me a dialog telling me that it rhytmbox is unresponsive.
Since dapper is about to be released really soon I hope you can fix this. If you need more information I will try to provide you with whatever you need as quickly as possible.
Thanks for your bug. Do you have the issue with dapper too? Could you get a backtrace with rhythmbox-dbg installed when you get the hang?
