Hello,

After each start of my computer I need to re-enter the WPA key for the network. Is it normal ?

I use the 6.06 Dapper.

Thanks

If it's mandatory please provide a note or a documentation.

If I may ask, how did you make it work?

I didn't do anything.

Just install kwallet and activate it.

After that each time I connect in a new session, I need to reopen kwallet. For the first time I want to connect to a network I need to put the pssword and then it is stored in kwallet.

for me the best solution was install kwallet and then change the wallet password to nothin. Now I don't need to put any password.

In fact, knetworkmanager seems to have been designed this way, as shown in the FAQ:

Q: How can I store passphrases associated with encrypted wireless networks?
A: Activate KWallet support:

* start kwalletmanager
* right click wall icon in tray
* "Configure Wallet"
* Check "Enable the KDE wallet subsystem" on the tab "Wallet Preferences"

That also looks pretty logic since it is a pure kde application and kwallet is the standard secured method to store passwords with kde...
