Bluetooth Mouse (Logitech MX900) works from LiveCD, but not from HDD install

Bug Description

When I run the Dapper final LiveCD, I can get my Logitech MX900 BT mouse working by typing

[sudo hidd --search] and then clicking the mouse's connect button, or

[sudo hidd --connect xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx] with the mouse's BT address.

However, after I installed Dapper to my HDD and rebooted, it was no longer possible to connect the mouse. I get

[searching...] while the blue connect button on the dock flashes, and then I get
[No devices in range or visible].

I tried booting from LiveCD again, no problems with connecting the mouse. I then did a re-install on my HDD, rebooted, and in the few seconds where the cursor is on the screen before the login prompt shows up, the mouse worked. Login prompt shows up, cursor dies, and it's still not possible to get it connected from the terminal or any other way I know of.

For some reason, the problem has disappeared. I've made the bug private so people don't waste their time with it...

Thanks for your bug. Marking the bug as private will just prevent most of people to comment on it. If the issue is fixed for you better to just mark it as fixed. I'm doing that, feel free to reopen if you disagree. That issue was probably not with gnome-vfs though, anyway since it's fixed now that's a detail

Changed in gnome-vfs2:
status: Unconfirmed → Fix Released

Sorry, couldn't find the fixed button, and the cat is wrong 'cause I started the bug from another bug in this category and hadn't noticed.

For future reference, here's how I fixed the problem:
1) Place mouse in hand,
2) bash against table,
3) [sudo hidd --search],
4) press connect button on mouse.

Mouse should now connect. If not, repeat from step 2. =)
