Printing multiple copies prints blank pages

I am seeing the same problem, also on windows 7 with inkscape 0.47-3

Correction: I yesterday reported the problem did not appear in Inkscape 47. Not true. I'm using Inkscape 46 where the bug does not appear. I can't use 47 or 48 due to the bug.

To be specific and quote the initial error pop-up for Inkscape .48 Windows Vista, Canon Pixma IP4200:

"A paper size that is not supported by the automatic duplex printing function is selected. Stop printing, uncheck Automatic on the Page Setup tab of the printer driver, then print again."

(The paper size used here is standard Letter 8.5 x 11 inches.)

"Job: Print 2-Specials.svg"

At the bottom of the window are "OK" and "Cancel Printing" buttons. Clicking the "OK" buttom closes and reopens the same error message pop-up. Clicking "Cancel Printing" closes the window.

2nd, if I do make the driver change (above) the bug of printing blank sheets following one correctly printed sheet appears.

I use version: 0.48.0 r9654
The bug is still there.

Inkscape Version: 0.48.1

The same happens here: Inkscape 0.48.1. But attempting to print for example 5 copies results in printing just 1.

When printing multiple copies, the blank pages PRECEDE the single correct print.

Inkscape version 0.48.3.1 r9886
Windows 7 Professional Edition 64 bits

This bug occurs when printing with any hardware or virtual printer.
I had to convert into a PDF to print multiple copies.

Installed Devices:
Epson sx100 series (sx105)
Bullzip PDF Printer
Microsoft XPS document Writer

Is there a solution to this? I really need it ASAP.

Rita: I'd recommend using the workaround of saving as a PDF and printing from your PDF viewer.

Inkscape 0.48.4 r9939, W7 Pro SP1 64b. The bug is not fixed.

I use Win XP and Inkscape 0.48 . I installed Inkscape a least 1 years ago and at the beginning there were no problems to print down on a sheet or even using a PDF printer . I can't remember when appeared the first failure but being hurried I found out a solution by copying and pasting my drawing in a BMP file . This is not very fine but it helps . I need to get my drawings printed with good resolution now . Does anybody know the solution to fix the problem .

Bug not fixed.
Inkscape 0.91, Windows 8.1 - 64 bit, HP LaserJet Professional 1102w

Workaround (Windows): Press Ctrl+P on keyboard, then press Enter

If you need custom print task set:

1.1. Open your file in Inkscape then > File > Print > Preferences
1.2. Create your Print Task Quick Set (with Number of copies: 1)
1.3. Name it (e.g. Postkard1) and save it
1.4 Close Inkscape

2.1. Open Windows Control Panel
2.2. Open Printers
2.3. Right click your printer
2.4. Select "Printing Preferences..." from the pop-up
2.5. Select "Postkard1" from the drop down list of Print Task Quick Sets
2.6. Click Apply
2.7. Click OK

3.1. Open your file in Inkscape
3.2. Press Ctrl+P on keyboard, then press Enter

Suppose it can be applied on any system...

Yes, I requested 3 copies and received 1 printed copy and 2 blank pages
in Inkscape 0.92.1 r15371 on Windows 8.1 64 bit HP Pavilion.

Print...->Rendering->Backend->Bitmap Works!
Print...->Rendering->Backend->Vector First page OK, other pages blank.

Easy to test with: "Microsoft Print to PDF" printer

I also get blank pages after the first page is printed when attempting to print multiple copies of pages using Inkscape 0.92 on Windows 10.

I found the source of the issue and created a potential fix:

Mismo error en Windows 10. Al imprimir n copias la impresora lanza n-1 hojas en blanco y una copia.

Manuel, this issue is fixed in Inkscape 0.92.3 - can you confirm that by updating to the current version?
