Bug Description

Konqueror interprets downloads from kde-look.org, kde-apps.org, etc. as text files, and doesn't get the appropriate filename (note differences in behaviour between firefox and konqueror). I don't know if this is (k)ubuntu-specific, or a konqueror bug.

To reproduce:
Go to kde-look.org and/or kde-apps.org
Go to one of the projects with a download link
Click on the link.

..this appears to happen with .deb files and .tar.gz files, but not with .bz2 files.. I haven't looked that far into it, though. It's surprising behaviour, and somewhat embarrassing considering the kde browser often times doesn't work on a primary kde site/set of sites.. Heh.

Confirming this on Kubuntu Breezy with KDE 3.4.3. Konqueror-pro extension installed, but I doubt that makes any difference.

the problem appears to be with the server as it is sending the file with mime type text/plain so konqueror thinks the file is a text file

The filename upon right-click and download is, nevertheless, still incorrect (I didn't provide enough info about that initially, only a brief reference). I suppose that's a different bug, though..
