Several packages in main will be adjusted to enable jack output when jack is in main (see bug #407841). In order to have them tested as much as possible, I suggest we hurry with this mir.

Is this going to be looked at before feature freeze? Or are MIR bugs subject to feature freeze?

The packaging is a bit complicated, but necessarily so. No automated tests to enable. It's very well maintained in both Debian and Ubuntu. Lintian warnings are minor. Builds cleanly. There are lots of malloc and sprintf calls that could be points of concerns, but there is little history of security issues, the daemon has to be manually activated, and usually will run as non-root.

This package is important for lots of reasons. Approved.
