Bug Description

Binary package hint: jedit

jEdit 4.3.1 is a bugfix release (with minor features) against 4.3~pre18 which is currently in Ubuntu.

It build fine using sbuild and installed OK:
================================
$ sudo dpkg -i jedit_4.3.1.dfsg-0ubuntu1_all.deb
(Lese Datenbank ... 516064 Dateien und Verzeichnisse sind derzeit installiert.)
Vorbereiten zum Ersetzen von jedit 4.3~pre18.dfsg-0ubuntu1 (durch jedit_4.3.1.dfsg-0ubuntu1_all.deb) ...
Entpacke Ersatz für jedit ...
Richte jedit ein (4.3.1.dfsg-0ubuntu1) ...

Verarbeite Trigger für menu ...
Verarbeite Trigger für man-db ...
Verarbeite Trigger für desktop-file-utils ...

Rebuilding /usr/share/applications/desktop.de_DE.utf8.cache...

I've made sure that it works ok by opening it, doing some editing and fetched updates using the Plugin Manager.

Some plugins (XML.jar, SideKick.jar,...) require the new version. This also affects Karmic (4.3~pre16.dfsg-0ubuntu1)
The solution is a newer version for karmic. Should I file a separate bug report for this?

jEdit 4.3.1 is in my PPA: https://launchpad.net/~blueyed/+archive/ppa

We should file a FFe to get the latest stable version of jEdit into Ubuntu Lucid (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess).

I'll look into this in the next days, hopefully - feel free to step over me though, at least it's packaged already - so everything the FFe requires should be available (and given that 4.3.1 is the current stable).
